All of our work is guided by core principles:

Greening

Plants are at the heart of all of our work. They are crucial to the health of our natural ecosystems, cities and local communities. As a living medium, planting designs must take into account changes and growth over time. Plant species are chosen for the ecological value, aesthetic impact, resilience in challenging conditions and their ability to create comfortable, sensory places for people.

Community

We believe that excellent designs have the ability to improve daily life at an individual level but also for broader communities. Comfort, safety, access to nature and inclusivity are critical considerations for every project. Our spaces are designed for people to enjoy, to linger and connect with. Well designed public open space is critical to create thriving interconnected communities.

Place

Every project starts with site analysis. The physical conditions, current human use, ecological value and historical cultural significance are what drives a project from its inception. A deep, considered understanding of site results in a built outcome which has a strong sense of place.

Aesthetics

The practice of our designers artistic expression is what makes our built outcomes memorable. Good design is an intangible element and as such it is easily lost along the way. Beautiful space have the power to leave us with memories that help to shape us.

Future

We are practicing and designing for a rapidly changing world. The climate crises is creating increasing challenging conditions for our plants and ecosystems to thrive in. We employ best sustainability practices on all projects. Furthermore See Design Studio donate 1% of all profits to a local tree planting and regeneration project Trillion Trees. The important work that they do creates habitat, supports ecosystems to regenerate and helps to offset carbon emissions.
