By reclaiming a little bit of car parking space, the Modular Parklets create a streetscape that is more human-centred. Warm timber and waterwise native plants create an inviting spot for passers by to stop and enjoy a moment on the street. Built in book nooks encourage users to borrow and swap books or just enjoy them whilst they are using the space. In their current location on Hampden Road in Nedlands the parklets help to activate the street and provide a breakout space for nearby busy cafes. 

The parklets are design to be semi permanent installations. Their modular design future proofs their ability to be used in a variety of different street parking scenarios throughout the City of Perth.
